The strikes of 24 December have been followed by a 36-hour Christmas stand-down, throughout which Air Power planners went to work to revise their designs for another stage of functions. Due to plane losses during the initial period, they intended to launch an all-out assault on North Vietnam's air defenses once the Procedure resumed. This system wa
